Construction is complete on the revised GMMP circuit. The banked R-2 has been replaced by a R-2 flat turn (reducing the straight by a foot) and Porkchop hairpin has been changed from Scalelextric to Scaleauto track. The overall length has been reduced about 5 inches. The Random Canyon extension is closed for the winter. The new “Rainbow bend” is certainly more difficult than the previous banked turn. Muscle memory has caused several massive testing crashes due to drivers going flat out into Rainbow bend with some cars “tasting” the concrete floor. The fences from Racetrack Scenics are now installed and are very effective. Like the Random Canyon circuit, GMMP 2.0 utilizes Carrera, Scalextric, and Scaleauto track. First race will be the Goodloe Fall Classic in Nov.
